Metro53 - Gujrat: Health authorities have sealed an illegal clinic during an ongoing crackdown against quackery in the district, officials said.
The operation was led by Deputy District Health Officer Dr Mohammad Usman Naeem, who inspected suspected medical facilities as part of the campaign.
During the कार्रवाई, officials visited “Anas Clinic” in Chak Sada, where illegal allopathic practice was detected. Authorities said the clinic was operating under the name of a qualified doctor, whose credentials were displayed on-site. However, investigations revealed that the doctor was practising elsewhere, confirming misuse of his name.
After collecting evidence, officials sealed the clinic on the spot and referred the case to the Punjab Healthcare Commission for further legal action.
According to the report, one clinic was inspected during the operation and was shut down after violations were confirmed.
The health department said that indiscriminate action against quackery would continue to ensure the provision of safe and quality healthcare services to the public.
