Metro53 - Federal Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has announced that PTI Chairman Imran Khan will be transferred from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail to the newly established district jail in Islamabad.
Speaking to a private news channel, Chaudhry explained that all prisoners belonging to Islamabad are being relocated to the new district jail, with Imran Khan included in the process.
He further clarified that the government does not intend to subject the former prime minister to any form of mistreatment. According to him, the option of placing Imran Khan under house arrest at his residences in Bani Gala or Zaman Park is also being seriously considered, and he personally supports this proposal.
In a separate discussion, Chaudhry revealed that the recent resignations by members were part of a strategy aimed at removing Junaid Akbar from the Public Accounts Committee.
