Metro53 - GUJRAT: A woman employee of the Nadra office in Gujrat was shot dead by her husband early on Monday morning inside the office premises, police said.
According to initial police reports, the victim, identified as 42-year-old Amber, had arrived at work with her husband, Bilal, who had dropped her off on a motorcycle.
Investigators said that shortly after Amber took her seat at her counter, Bilal allegedly opened fire, killing her on the spot.
Police said the suspect then turned the weapon on himself and died by suicide at the scene.
Both husband and wife were residents of Darah Balochan, Fawara Chowk.
Officials from Civil Lines police station, led by the station house officer, reached the scene soon after the incident. Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies to hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police said further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident was underway.
