Metro53 - GUJRAT: A member of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team and Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister, Shoaib Mirza, visited cattle markets in Gujrat district and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made ahead of Eidul Azha.
According to an official report, cleanliness, sanitation and public facilities at the cattle markets in Sara-i-Alamgir and Gujrat city were found to be satisfactory. The report appreciated the monitoring and administrative measures taken by the district administration to facilitate traders and visitors.
During the visit, officials informed the inspection team that teams from the Livestock Department and Rescue 1122 remained fully active at the markets, while regular medical check-ups and care of animals were also being ensured.
The report stated that emergency response vehicles had been deployed at both markets to deal with any untoward situation. Adequate lighting, tents and the supply of clean drinking water were also arranged for traders and citizens.
Special cleanliness arrangements were made at the Gujrat city cattle market under the “Suthra Punjab” campaign, with sanitation staff carrying out continuous cleaning operations.
Traders at the Sara-i-Alamgir cattle market expressed satisfaction over the facilities and praised the efforts of the district administration.
According to the report, the district administration is maintaining continuous monitoring of cattle markets to ensure better facilities for citizens during Eidul Azha.
