Metro53 - Madrid (Web Desk): While most employees face disciplinary action for arriving late, a Spanish woman was reportedly fired for arriving too early at her office.

The incident took place in a delivery company in Alicante, Spain, where the woman regularly arrived at the office between 6:45 and 7:00 a.m., despite her contract stipulating that her shift began at 7:30 a.m. She would start work before her colleagues, which reportedly displeased her manager.

In 2023, she received her first reprimand for arriving early. Subsequent warnings from the company were ignored, and she continued arriving before her designated shift.

This year, her manager declared her behavior as “serious misconduct” and terminated her employment. The woman then filed a legal case against the company.

In court, the employer stated that the early arrival created a situation where there was no work for her to perform, and despite repeated warnings, she failed to cooperate with the company, negatively affecting her professional relationship with her employer. The court ruled in favor of the company, upholding the dismissal.
