Metro53 - Lahore (Web Desk): The Lahore Sessions Court has granted interim bail to TikTokers and YouTubers Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak (known as Nadeem Naniwala) in a case related to the promotion of a gambling application.
Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala appeared before the Lahore Sessions Court to seek interim bail. Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi heard the bail applications filed in the gambling app promotion case. During the hearing, Rajab Butt’s counsel, Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq, appeared before the court.
The court directed both accused to join the investigation and restrained authorities from arresting them until January 6. The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for the same date.
The court was informed that Rajab Butt had already obtained bail from the Islamabad High Court, which had directed him to appear before the sessions court. After hearing arguments, the court approved interim bail for both Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala and extended the relief until January 6.
The bail applications were filed through Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq. Rajab Butt filed one bail application, while Nadeem Naniwala filed bail applications in two cases registered by the NCCIA. The NCCIA has already registered cases against the accused, and further proceedings will be taken up at the next hearing.
