Metro53 - Texas (Web Desk): A small aircraft belonging to the Mexican Navy crashed along the coast in the US state of Texas, killing five people, including a child.
According to US media, the small aircraft was transporting a patient along with seven other individuals to Houston Airport when it crashed into Galveston Bay.
A US Coast Guard official told international media that the incident occurred last night and that one passenger is still missing.
Initially, the US Coast Guard reported that four people had been rescued alive; however, it was later clarified that two of those rescued later succumbed to their injuries.
Meanwhile, the Mexican Navy, in its official statement, confirmed that eight people were on board the aircraft, including four naval personnel and four civilians.
