Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – Following orders from DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq, police across the district have launched a major crackdown against wanted criminals, drug dealers, and illegal weapons carriers.
In this operation, the City Circle police conducted effective raids in the areas under City Jhalalpur Jattan and Mangowal police stations. Under the supervision of DSP City Circle Rai Sarfraz Yousaf, SHO City Jhalalpur Jattan Ehsan Ullah and his team carried out intelligence-based raids at multiple locations, arresting six wanted criminals: Haseeb Ullah (son of Arman Ullah), Muhammad Javed (son of Rasheed Ahmed), Nisar Ahmed (son of Muhammad Bota), Muhammad Umar Hamza (son of Adil Zaheer), Abdullah (son of Ajmal Waheed), and Saeed Ahmed (son of Ishaq).
During further operations, drug dealer Irfan (son of Ehsan Ullah), resident of Mohalla Rehmania, was arrested, with police recovering 1,280 grams of hashish from him.
Meanwhile, SHO Mangowal Jahangir Ali and his team arrested Shahzaib (son of Gulzar) from Kashmir Colony, Mangowal, seizing 10 liters of alcohol. Another suspect, Taqeem-ul-Hassan, resident of Jamu Bhola, was apprehended with an illegal 30-bore pistol.
Cases have been registered against all arrested suspects under relevant sections, and further investigations are ongoing. Police officials emphasized that operations against criminals will continue without discrimination.
