Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – Rescue 1122 Gujrat received a call at 7:20 a.m. reporting a fire inside a residential house. According to the caller, the fire had broken out in a locked house located in Kot Mouj Deen village on Head Khanki Road, Gujrat.

Upon receiving the information, the Rescue 1122 control room immediately dispatched emergency teams to the scene. Rescue officials stated that the operation involved six rescuers and three emergency vehicles, and was led by a senior rescue officer.

According to the rescue team, the fire erupted in a single-storey residential house built on seven marlas. No residents were present inside the house at the time of the incident. The rescuers acted swiftly, preventing the fire from spreading further and successfully bringing it under control.

Rescue officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. However, household items inside the house were damaged due to the fire.

Rescue 1122 further stated that the homeowners arrived at the scene after being informed by neighbors and reported that some household items were missing. Based on initial information, it is suspected that unknown thieves may have set the house on fire after committing theft in order to destroy evidence.

Rescue officials have informed the police about the incident through the emergency helpline 15 so that a thorough investigation can be conducted and those responsible can be brought to justice.
