Metro53 - Jhelum (Web Desk): Citizens have made a unique and publicly significant demand to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif through social media.
According to citizens, just as indiscriminate actions are being taken on roads, entry and exit points, and intersections against motorcyclists without helmets, drivers without licenses, vehicles with tinted windows, and public transport violations, similar measures should be adopted within government offices to ensure control over corruption and maintain discipline through the installation of CCTV cameras.
They clarified that if strict enforcement of traffic laws is possible, then why discipline, transparency, and accountability cannot be ensured in government offices. Citizens have demanded that CCTV cameras be installed in all government offices across Punjab to monitor activities and help eliminate corruption, absenteeism, and the unnecessary harassment of the public.
Citizens believe that if the Chief Minister of Punjab seriously implements this proposal, it will not only improve the standard of work in government offices but also restore public trust in the government across the province. Public circles emphasized that the law should be equal for everyone, whether an ordinary citizen or a senior government officer.
The citizens of Jhelum have appealed through social media that this step should be taken immediately in the public interest so that a transparent system can be established in government offices and citizens can receive real relief.
