Metro53 - Lahore (Web Desk):Authorities are investigating from all angles the alleged suicide attempt of 21-year-old Fatima, a first-semester D-Pharm student at the University of Lahore.

Speaking to Samaa News, DIG Faisal Kamran said that the second such incident at the University of Lahore is deeply unfortunate. He added that two incidents occurring within the same university and the same department raise serious questions.

The DIG said that investigations have revealed Fatima did not face any issues related to fees, attendance, or strict behavior by the university administration. However, reports indicate that the student was suffering from mental stress along with domestic issues.

According to available information, Fatima made a phone call to her home before attempting suicide and then jumped from a university building. As a result, she sustained fractures in her legs. No head injuries have been confirmed so far
