Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk): A minor verbal altercation turned into a tragic incident in the outskirts of Kunjah when a motorcyclist lost his life due to gunfire, spreading fear and panic in the area and triggering anger among local residents.
According to details, the incident occurred near Chak Nawali village, close to Kunjah, where a minor dispute during travel suddenly escalated. Police and rescue sources stated that firearms were used during the quarrel, resulting in severe injuries to a motorcyclist identified as Qaiser, son of Mushtaq. He was left critically wounded and bleeding at the scene after being shot.
Upon receiving information, rescue teams rushed to the spot and shifted the injured man under police supervision to Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed Hospital. However, due to the critical nature of his injuries, Qaiser succumbed to his wounds during treatment. He was approximately 45 years old.
The deceased was identified as Qaiser son of Mushtaq, belonging to the Jutt community and a resident of Chak Nawali village, Tehsil and District Gujrat. He was the only brother of five sisters and the father of six children. The news of his death caused scenes of mourning at his home, leaving the family devastated.
Initial police investigations revealed that the incident was not the result of any old enmity or family dispute but occurred due to a minor roadside argument. Police have nominated two accused in the case: Muzhar Hussain alias Muzhara, son of Muhammad Hussain, caste Waraich, resident of Achhar Shadiwal, and Raza Hussain, son of Muzhar Hussain, also a resident of Achhar Shadiwal. The accused allegedly opened fire with firearms, inflicting fatal injuries on Qaiser.
Following the incident, fear and panic have gripped the area. Citizens have demanded that law enforcement agencies arrest the accused at the earliest and ensure they are given exemplary punishment. Police stated that raids are being conducted to arrest the suspects and that investigations are ongoing from all angles. According to police officials, the accused will soon be brought to justice.
