Metro53 - Uttar Pradesh (Web Desk): An Indian Air Force (IAF) training microlight aircraft crashed into a pond near Prayagraj during a routine training flight. Both pilots on board were rescued safely, and no casualties were reported.

According to IAF officials, the incident occurred while the aircraft was conducting normal training operations. A spokesperson confirmed that the pilots were promptly rescued and are safe.

Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the crash, including a detailed technical review. This comes after a similar incident in November last year, when another IAF training aircraft crashed near Chennai during a routine flight. In that incident as well, the pilot safely ejected using a parachute.

The Indian Air Force stated that comprehensive investigations are ongoing to understand the reasons behind all recent accidents.
