Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk):Gujrat Police successfully conducted an operation in which two key members of an extremely dangerous and ruthless inter-district robbery gang were killed.
The gang, led by Nauman alias Noma, had become a symbol of terror and fear among the public, engaging in armed robberies and violence across multiple districts. The suspects faced 77 serious criminal cases, including armed robbery, road robberies, vehicle theft, and assault on citizens during their crimes.
According to details, Gujrat Police had been receiving intelligence regarding the gang leader Nauman Ali alias Noma and his accomplice Qadeer Ahmed. The gang would frequently set up roadblocks to rob and assault citizens and did not hesitate to use firearms during their operations. Their criminal record was extensive, including an incident in late 2025 in the Galiyana police area, where three vehicles were stopped and targeted during a robbery.
Using professional expertise and modern scientific technology, Gujrat Police apprehended Nauman and Qadeer, both of whom were involved in multiple serious cases. During interrogation, the suspects provided information about the stolen property recovered from previous robberies.
During the recovery operation, the police team was suddenly confronted by four armed motorcycle riders who opened fire. As a result, Nauman and Qadeer were fatally hit by gunfire from their own accomplices. The injured suspects were immediately transferred to a hospital but succumbed to their wounds. The other motorcycle-riding assailants escaped under the cover of darkness.
The deceased suspects were involved in multiple crimes across Gujrat, Sialkot, and Gujrat’s Wazirabad area. The Kariyanwala Police Station has registered a case regarding the incident and investigations are ongoing, while measures continue to ensure the safety of the public in the area.
