Metro53 - Gujrat – The Environment Department teams have carried out an operation against illegal activities and recovered 500 kilograms of banned polythene bags.

The operation was conducted by EPA Gujrat teams at Shahidullah Goods Station on GT Road under the instructions of District Environment Officer Osama Majid.

During the raid, the illegally stored plastic bags were confiscated, and legal action has been initiated against the responsible parties. The Environment Department emphasized that this step has been taken to protect the environment and safeguard public health.

According to the department, the use of banned polythene bags not only increases environmental pollution but also violates government regulations. EPA Gujrat teams are continuously monitoring such activities, and strict action will be taken against any illegal practices.

As part of environmental responsibility, the department has also warned the public not to use banned plastic bags and to cooperate with the government in enforcing environmental laws.
