Campaign Duration and Target
The national anti-polio campaign will continue from February 2 to February 4, 2026, while February 5 has been designated as a catch-up day to ensure complete coverage of missed children. During the campaign, a total of 514,982 children under the age of five have been targeted to receive polio drops to protect them from the disease.
Teams and Resources
For the successful execution of the campaign, a total of 2,208 mobile teams, 122 fixed teams, and 39 transit teams have been formed. Overall, 4,616 team members will perform duties during the campaign, ensuring that children in every area are reached and vaccinated.
Message from the Additional Deputy Commissioner
Speaking on the occasion, ADC (Revenue) Waqas Safdar Sikandari urged parents to ensure that all children under the age of five are administered polio drops to protect them from lifelong disability. He emphasized that the complete eradication of polio remains a top priority of the government and can only be achieved through coordinated efforts and interdepartmental cooperation.
