During the operation, officers from the Child Protection Bureau Gujranwala, Labour Department, Rescue 1122, Gujrat Police, and the Social Welfare Department conducted joint raids at key areas of Gujrat city, including GTS Chowk, Gulzar-e-Madina Road, Service Morr, Kachehri Chowk, and Sai Raja Phatak. The team took all possible measures to ensure the safety of the children and immediately removed them from dangerous situations.

According to sources, the 15 rescued children were initially provided with medical and psychological assistance and were later shifted to Gujranwala for legal and welfare proceedings, where further steps will be taken to ensure their rehabilitation, education, and proper upbringing. The Child Protection Bureau stated that such measures are essential to protect children from begging mafias and other illegal activities.

Deputy Commissioner Noor-ul-Ain, while speaking on the occasion, said that the welfare and protection of children is their top priority and that operations under the anti-begging campaign will continue across the district. She emphasized that no child will be allowed to fall victim to begging mafias or other dangerous activities and that all relevant departments will provide full cooperation in this regard.

Authorities also appealed to the public to immediately inform the Child Protection Bureau or police if they see any child in a dangerous situation or observe any illegal activity, so that timely action can be taken. Such operations under the anti-begging campaign not only help protect children but also contribute to eliminating crime and exploitation from society.
