Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk):Former Punjab Chief Minister and senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, has said that those who robbed the public mandate in Gujrat are only temporary occupants and that the people’s mandate will soon be restored.
Talking about the political situation and development projects of Gujrat, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that those who carried out what he termed as an attack on the public mandate are “guests for a few days,” adding that truth will ultimately prevail. He stated that the opposition only engaged in vindictive actions, but the public is now fully aware of the reality. He remarked that “the dark night will soon come to an end” and the people’s verdict will be reinstated.
Criticising the current administration, the former chief minister said that all major mega development projects of Gujrat were approved during his government, but the present rulers stalled progress by withholding funds. He said that those who merely put up their own nameplates would never succeed in their intentions, and that the halted funds would be restored so that the journey of development could resume from where it was stopped.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi thanked the people of Gujrat, saying that they stood by him even in the most difficult times and set an example of loyalty. He added that the entire Elahi family is grateful to the brave people of Gujrat and assured them that they would never be disappointed.
The meeting is being seen as significant in terms of future political strategy, restoration of development projects, and discussions on accelerating progress with the participation of public representatives.
