Metro53 - Colombo (Web Desk): In the T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan defeated Namibia by a massive margin of 102 runs to qualify for the Super Eight stage.

The match was played at the Sinhalese Sports Club, where Namibia struggled badly while chasing a target of 200 runs. Their batters kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

By the 16th over, Namibia had lost eight wickets for a total score of 96 runs. Frylinck scored 9, Loftie-Eaton made 5, Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton, Stenkamp scored 23, while captain Gerhard Erasmus managed only 7 runs.

On the third ball of the 17th over, Namibia were bowled out for just 97 runs while chasing the 200-run target.

For Pakistan, Usman Tariq took four wickets, Shadab Khan claimed three, while Mohammad Nawaz and Salman Mirza picked up one wicket each.

Pakistan Batting

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Powered by a record-breaking innings from Sahibzada Farhan, Pakistan posted a huge total against Namibia.

Pakistan scored 199 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs, with Sahibzada Farhan smashing an unbeaten 100, while Shadab Khan remained not out on 36 runs.

This was Sahibzada Farhan’s first T20 International century, and with this feat, he became the second Pakistani batter after Ahmed Shehzad to score a century in a T20 World Cup.

Captain Salman Ali Agha scored 38 runs, Saim Ayub made 14, while Khawaja Nafay was dismissed for 5.

For Namibia, Jack Brassell took two wickets, while Gerhard Erasmus claimed one.
