Metro53 - Tehran / Riyadh / Tel Aviv (Web Desk) – Tensions between Iran, the United States and Israel have reportedly intensified, with claims of drone strikes, cross-border bombardment and growing diplomatic fallout across the Middle East.

According to Saudi authorities cited in regional media, two drones allegedly targeted the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, resulting in limited fire damage. No large-scale casualties were officially confirmed in initial reports.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has reportedly announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, warning that vessels passing through the waterway could be targeted. The Strait of Hormuz is a critical global oil route through which nearly one-fifth of the world’s oil supply passes. Independent confirmation of a full closure remains unclear.

Reports also suggest continued Israeli strikes in Tehran and Beirut, including claims that an Iranian state broadcaster facility was targeted. Casualty figures circulating in some outlets claim deaths exceeding 600 in Iran and Lebanon combined, though these numbers have not been independently verified by international agencies.

U.S. President Donald Trump was quoted in certain reports as saying that military operations against Iran could continue for several weeks, with Washington aiming to neutralize Iran’s missile and nuclear capabilities. No official full transcript of such remarks has been publicly released by international wire services at the time of reporting.

Energy infrastructure in parts of the Gulf region has also reportedly come under attack, triggering sharp rises in global oil and gas prices. QatarEnergy is said to have temporarily suspended LNG production at two facilities following alleged strikes.

Israeli authorities have stated that missiles targeting areas including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Eilat were intercepted, while reports claim at least 10 fatalities in Israel since Saturday.

Amid the deteriorating situation, several Western diplomatic missions have reportedly suspended operations. The U.S. Embassy in Kuwait announced temporary suspension of diplomatic activities, while the U.S. Embassy in Iraq ordered non-essential personnel to depart. Canada’s embassy in Riyadh also announced temporary closure due to security concerns.

The U.S. State Department had earlier issued travel advisories urging American citizens in multiple Middle Eastern countries to consider departure due to escalating security risks.

Given the rapidly evolving situation, many of these developments remain subject to independent verification. International observers have called for urgent diplomatic engagement to prevent further escalation across the region.
