Metro53 - Medina (Web Desk): With the start of the last ten days of Ramadan, thousands of worshippers have begun observing Itikaf in the holy mosques of Saudi Arabia. More than 15,000 people have registered to sit in Itikaf at the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina.

According to authorities, special arrangements have been made for the worshippers observing Itikaf in both mosques. Devotees are engaged in prayers, supplications, remembrance of Allah, and other acts of worship in the hope of finding Laylat al-Qadr and attaining Allah’s blessings.

Meanwhile, an unusual rush of visitors has also been witnessed in the Haramain due to the tense situation in the Middle East and the cancellation of some international flights.

During the last ten days of Ramadan, Muslims from around the world travel to these sacred places to observe Itikaf, seek spiritual peace, and increase their acts of worship.
