Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – Under the supervision of Deputy Director Rizwan Saeed, Punjab Food Authority teams continued food safety operations across the district.
During the inspections, a total of 119 food points were checked. Violations led to 49 improvement notices being issued, while 9 food outlets were fined a total of Rs. 219,000.
Additionally, 4 food samples were collected for further analysis, and 52.1 kilograms of expired, prohibited, and spoiled food items were destroyed during the operations.
According to the Punjab Food Authority, inspections and monitoring will continue across the district to ensure the public receives safe and high-quality food.
