Metro53 - Layyah: The funeral prayers of martyred police officer Asad Nasir were offered at the police lines in Layyah. The ceremony was attended by prominent officials including District Sessions Judge Ali Nawaz, RPO Dera Ghazi Khan Azhar Akram, DC Asif Ali Dogar, and DPO Hassan Javed Bhatti.
Members of civil society, MNA Owais Jakhar, and the bereaved family also participated in the funeral. Police personnel paid tribute to the martyr by giving a salute, and flowers were laid over his body by the Sessions Judge, RPO, DC, and DPO as a mark of respect.
Prayers for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks were offered, and the RPO along with other officials accompanied the body. The ambulance carrying Asad Nasir’s body was decorated with flowers by police staff as it was sent to his native village Qaziabad for burial.
