Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk) – Engineer Muhammad Raza Chauhan has been appointed as the Rector of Chenab University, Gujrat.
Prior to this appointment, he served as a Member of Human Resource Development and Planning & Development (Grade 22) at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. During his tenure, he played a key role in advancing national initiatives such as the Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Program, the Teaching Excellence Framework, and reforms in educational quality assurance and accreditation.
Recently, under his leadership, a committee conducted investigations into irregularities, corruption, and unlawful recruitments at the Federal Urdu University, with action still pending.
