Metro53 - News Story: Lahore (Web Desk) — Has harassment of women in the media industry become a norm? From top media owners to HR departments and heads of departments, it appears many have been part of this ongoing issue.

Recently, a discussion on a digital platform has gone viral on social media. In the Eid special program of “Kharra Sach” on a private news channel 365, senior journalist Mubasher Lucman hosted renowned astrologer Samrana Shah, who revealed that she also faced harassment at the beginning of her career.

Upon insistence from fellow participants, Samrana Shah alleged that during an interview at UrduPoint, anchorperson and analyst Syed Zeeshan Aziz, who has recently gained popularity, harassed her. She further claimed that he asked her to dance and questioned how she would react if he kissed her.

Another anchor present at the discussion, Hina Salman, supported these claims, stating that women in the media industry often face severe harassment.
