Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk) — Alima Khan, sister of the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, spoke out against her brother’s detention, stating that keeping someone in jail for nearly three years while claiming “a deal is underway” is unacceptable.

Speaking to media alongside Noreen Niazi, Alima Khan said that despite Eid having passed, they were not allowed to meet her brother. She emphasized that according to jail manuals, the PTI founder has the right to meet family members, and news of his medical procedures reached them only through social media.

Alima Khan added that they are unaware of the treatment being provided, as their doctors have not been allowed to examine him. She reiterated, “Keeping someone in jail for nearly three years and claiming a deal is in progress is unacceptable.”

Noreen Niazi also criticized the handling of the case, stating that deals were made with individuals who had assets abroad or were involved in corruption, while the PTI founder, whom she described as innocent, is being subjected to injustice.
