Metro53 - DHAKA (Web Desk): At least 18 people were killed after a passenger bus plunged into the Padma River in Bangladesh, according to local authorities.
Foreign media reports said the deceased included six men, 10 women and two children. The bus was travelling from Rajbari to Dhaka with around 50 passengers on board.
Police officials stated that the حادثہ occurred when the bus lost balance while boarding a ferry and fell into the river.
Rescue efforts were launched immediately, and several passengers managed to swim to safety and reach the riverbank, local media reported.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident while search operations were ongoing to locate any remaining passengers.
