Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk): Shehbaz Sharif has assured the Amir of Qatar that both countries will always stand by each other.
A telephone conversation took place between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Amir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which the Qatari leader congratulated Pakistan on its successful diplomatic efforts.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad, the Amir of Qatar said that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts led to a ceasefire between Iran and the United States, and that negotiations between the parties are now expected.
The statement added that the Amir appreciated and thanked Pakistan for its sincere efforts. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also praised the wisdom and restraint shown by the Qatari leadership despite challenging circumstances.
During the conversation, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the leadership and people of Qatar, assuring that both nations will continue to stand together in all circumstances.
