Gujrat Police Crack Down on Drug Dealers, Two Arrested

Metro53 - GUJRAT (Web Desk): Gujrat Police intensified its ongoing campaign against drug traffickers and arrested two suspects, recovering over 2 kilograms of charas from their possession. According to police officials, these operations are being carried out continuously to protect the youth from the harmful effects of drugs.

Kakrali Police Action

According to details, under the directives of DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq and supervision of DSP Kharian Circle Shahid Mehmood, SHO Police Station Kakrali Inspector Zubair Anjum conducted operations with his team. During the action, two suspects were arrested from different locations.

Police said that accused Shamrez alias Shaman son of Muhammad Shafi, resident of Malikpur Nai Abadi Liaqatabad, was found in possession of 1260 grams of charas. In another raid, accused Qasim Abbas son of Muhammad Khan, resident of Noor Jamal North, was arrested with 1225 grams of charas.

Cases Registered, Investigation Underway

Police have registered separate cases against both suspects and launched further investigation. Officials said that during the inquiry, links to other members of the network will also be traced.

Zero Tolerance Against Drugs

DPO Gujrat Rana Umar Farooq stated that drug dealers are a curse for society, especially destroying the younger generation. He made it clear that strict action against such elements will continue without discrimination and no one is above the law.
