Metro53 - LAHORE (Web Desk): A significant development has emerged in the rape case involving YouTuber Rajab Butt and others, as a court has set a date for framing of charges against the accused.
According to Express News, proceedings were held at a Lahore sessions court before Additional Sessions Judge Yasir Arafat. During the hearing, copies of the challan were distributed among the accused, including Rajab Butt.
The court has summoned the accused for indictment proceedings on April 22.
Meanwhile, the petitioner’s counsel argued that the FIR registered by Nawab Town police was based on incorrect facts and requested confirmation of interim bail.
The complainant, a woman, alleged that the accused called her to a residence and subjected her to sexual assault. The accused named in the case include Rajab Butt, Jahangir, Jawad Ali, and Abdul Rehman.
The case will proceed further on the next hearing date.
