Metro53 - TEHRAN (Web Desk) – Iran has once again announced strict control over the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of escalating tensions in the region.
According to a spokesperson for the Iranian military, the move comes in response to alleged blockades by the United States and repeated violations of agreements. He stated that movement in the Strait of Hormuz is now under complete and strict military control.
In a statement issued by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was said that strict monitoring and control over the strait will continue until the United States ensures the free movement of Iranian and international vessels.
A spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters also warned that if guarantees for free navigation are not provided, the strait will remain under Iran’s control.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei rejected U.S. claims, stating that there has never been any plan to transfer enriched uranium to the United States.
This development comes at a time when political and military tensions are already rising in the region, with potential impacts feared on global energy markets.
