Metro53 - Gujrat: Police in the Galyana area have arrested two suspects in connection with the alleged rape of a woman, officials said on Saturday.
According to police, the incident was reported on April 16, 2026, when the victim informed authorities that two men, residents of Sialkot, had allegedly entered her house and assaulted her at gunpoint.
Following the complaint, a case was registered at Galyana police station under Section 375-A, and special teams were formed to trace the suspects.
Police officials stated that both accused were tracked down and arrested using modern investigative techniques and professional methods. The suspects have been identified as Aftab Saleem and Subhan Saleem, and further investigation is under way.
The District Police Officer (DPO) Gujrat said that justice for the victim would be ensured and that all legal requirements would be fulfilled to secure strict punishment for those involved.
He added that crimes against women would not be tolerated and that indiscriminate action would continue against individuals involved in such offences.
