Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Aamir Dogar said Ata Tarar has no standing to lecture them, adding that PTI will not sideline its founder.
Aamir Dogar and Federal Minister Barrister Aqeel Malik appeared on Geo News’ programme Capital Talk.
The PTI leader said they have endured “three and a half years of fire and blood,” questioning what more could be done against them. “When such oppression continues, where are we supposed to go?” he asked.
He said Ata Tarar secured only 16,000 votes, yet feels entitled to lecture PTI. He added that PML-N’s leadership has made harsh statements in the past as well.
Aamir Dogar further said that unfortunately, such practices have persisted for 75 years — Fatima Jinnah was labelled a traitor and an Indian agent, while Zia-ul-Haq declared Zulfikar Ali Bhutto a security threat.
He stated that political leaders survive in one way or another, and PTI will not “minus” its founder. “Today, Pakistan’s politics revolves around the founding chairman,” he added.
The PTI leader also said that the party founder stands for democracy, constitution, and the rule of law, while the current rulers have failed. He said these are rejected people who have turned Parliament into a rubber stamp. “When you steal the mandate and suppress the public, the country cannot progress,” he concluded.
