Mohammad Azhan, who has faced past incidents including shoplifting, bringing a knife to class, and subsequent expulsion from school, was previously sentenced to 30 months in prison for involvement in Class A and Class B drug distribution. He has already served his sentence.

A British tribunal has approved his appeal, and authorities have now decided to halt his deportation, citing his status as a star student in school.
