Metro53 - Gujrat (Web Desk)The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) continued its operations to ensure food safety and quality in Gujrat, completing a total of 106 inspections across the district. During these inspections, improvement notices were issued to 34 food outlets, while fines amounting to Rs 87,000 were imposed on 9 establishments for violating food safety regulations.

According to the report, one public complaint was also resolved during the operation. In addition, 10.176 kilograms of expired and prohibited food items were confiscated and destroyed to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public.

The Punjab Food Authority stated that such actions will continue on a regular basis to safeguard public health, and strict measures will be taken against businesses found violating food safety laws.
