Metro53 - Lahore (Web Desk) – Muslim League-N President Nawaz Sharif has stated that the party aims to achieve success in Gilgit. He emphasized that ticket allocation for elections will be based on interviews with each candidate and that internal party conflicts will not be tolerated. “Merit has always been our guiding principle,” he added.
Addressing party office-bearers from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, Nawaz Sharif said that the party will not compromise on its principles. He highlighted the importance of ensuring favorable election outcomes and keeping track of capable candidates. He also stressed that Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan should be included in the NFC Award.
Sharif announced that applications from candidates will be accepted until December 31. He mentioned that he would advise Shahbaz Sharif to ensure that funds for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are provided under the NFC framework. He praised the “Suthra Punjab” initiative as evidence of the province’s development and highlighted ongoing programs such as the Safe City Project and the “Own Roof, Own Home” initiative.
