Metro53 - London (Web Desk): A global defense research report has challenged India’s claims of aerial superiority, revealing details of significant losses suffered by the Indian Air Force (IAF).
According to a report published by the British defense journal Key Aero Magazine, four Indian Air Force Rafale fighter jets were destroyed during a 52-minute-long aerial engagement between Pakistan and India.
The report states that the destroyed Rafale jets bore serial numbers BS001, BS021, BS022, and BS027. However, India failed to present any credible images or evidence regarding these aircraft.
The report highlights that due to the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) multi-domain operations strategy, Indian pilots came under intense pressure and were unable to mount an effective response.
The investigative report further reveals that, in addition to four Rafale jets, the Indian Air Force also lost one MiG-29, one Su-30, and one Heron drone. According to the report, on May 10, a Pakistani JF-17 Block-3 aircraft targeted and disabled the Indian S-400 air defense system installed at Udhampur.
The report also states that the Pakistan Air Force destroyed India’s command and control system located in Barnala, while Pakistani cyber units disrupted large portions of India’s digital and social networks.
According to the findings, this marked the first time an air force effectively employed cyber and conventional military operations simultaneously.
Key Aero Magazine further noted that Indian Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan had acknowledged the destruction of Indian aircraft during an interview. The report also recalled that during Operation Swift Retort, the Pakistan Air Force had previously shot down an Indian MiG-21.
