Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan has formally demanded the extradition of Shehzad Akbar and Adil Raja from the United Kingdom, stating that both individuals are highly wanted in Pakistan and should be handed over immediately.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a key meeting with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott, during which Pak-UK relations, security cooperation, and matters of mutual interest were discussed in detail. Federal Secretary Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha and other relevant officials were also present.
During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi discussed the return of Pakistanis residing illegally in the UK. Extradition documents for Shehzad Akbar and Adil Raja were officially handed over to the British High Commissioner by the Government of Pakistan.
The Interior Minister emphasized that both individuals are wanted in Pakistan and urged the UK to hand them over immediately. He also provided solid evidence against Pakistani citizens involved in propaganda abroad, stating that while Pakistan fully respects freedom of expression, fake news and defamatory campaigns against the state and its institutions from abroad cannot be tolerated. He welcomed British cooperation in returning those involved in anti-Pakistan propaganda.
Mohsin Naqvi further noted that the Ministry of Interior, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has already initiated the extradition process.
