The man sitting on the back of the motorcycle suddenly opened fire. Chaudhry Ghulam Ahmad narrowly saved his life by hiding behind his car. Multiple bullets struck the vehicle, after which the attackers fled the scene.
Later, it was discovered that a dead body was lying some distance away from the scene. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Shahid. According to the FIR, Muhammad Khalil son of Bashir Ahmad lured Muhammad Shahid out of his house and asked him to ride the motorcycle, while Khalil himself sat on the back carrying a weapon—something Muhammad Shahid was unaware of.
Police stated that the suspect asked Shahid to head toward the bus stop, and on the way, upon seeing Ghulam Ahmad standing near his car, Khalil opened fire. When people started shouting, Khalil abused Muhammad Shahid and told him to speed up the motorcycle.
Near the Degree College, Muhammad Shahid stopped the motorcycle and refused to go any further. An argument ensued, during which Shahid questioned why Khalil had fired at Ghulam Ahmad. At that moment, Muhammad Khalil shot his own companion, Muhammad Shahid, in the head and neck, killing him, and then fled on the motorcycle.
