Metro53 - Islamabad (Web Desk): A U.S. magazine The Geopolitics has reported that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is carrying out terrorist activities in Pakistan using American weapons left behind in Afghanistan.
According to the magazine, TTP, also referred to as Fitna al-Khawarij, has been continuously attacking Pakistani security forces and civilians. The group has carried out terrorist operations and violent attacks, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The report states that U.S. weapons worth more than $7 billion remain in Afghanistan. These include American arms such as M4 and M16 rifles and night-vision devices, which are now accessible to terrorists.
The U.S. magazine further claims that these American weapons are being sold on the Afghan black market and are ending up in the hands of terrorist networks.
Meanwhile, security sources say that Pakistan has already proven that terrorists based in Afghanistan are launching attacks using American weapons.
