Metro53 - JHELUM: Police in Jhelum on Saturday said they had recovered a woman allegedly abducted in a kidnapping case registered in Rawalpindi during snap checking operations.
According to police officials, the woman was recovered during checking of suspicious individuals by personnel of Jhelum Police led by the station house officer of the City police station.
Initial investigation revealed that a kidnapping case relating to the woman had been registered at Taxila Police Station.
Police said the woman was immediately taken into protective custody and contact was established with the relevant police station for further legal formalities.
District Police Officer Shafeeq Ahmed Chaudhry said operations against criminal elements were continuing across the district and that the police remained committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens
