Two Killed as Car Crashes into Truck Near Dinga

Metro53 - GUJRAT: Two men were killed in a traffic accident near Dinga on the Mandi Bahauddin Road after a car collided with a stationary truck, rescue officials said.

The accident occurred near a patrolling police checkpost, where, according to initial reports, a truck had been parked on the wrong side of the road.

Officials said a speeding car travelling from Dinga towards Mandi Bahauddin lost control and rammed into the parked truck.

The impact of the collision was severe, killing both occupants of the car at the scene.

The deceased were identified as 41-year-old Saqlain Shah, son of Maqsood Shah, and 25-year-old Bilal, son of Riasat Ali. Both were residents of village Domiyan, Kharian.

Rescue teams reached the site soon after the incident and shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital Dinga after completing initial procedures.

Police said an investigation had been launched, including an inquiry into reports that the truck had been parked in the wrong direction.
