Metro53 - LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz has announced a series of relief measures for motorcycle owners across Punjab, including the abolition of transfer fees for motorcycles up to 150cc.
According to the announcement, the initiative aims to provide financial relief to citizens amid rising inflation and increasing fuel costs.
In a statement shared on social media, Maryam Nawaz said the provincial government was taking multiple steps to facilitate the common man, including special concessions for motorcycle owners.
The government said several fees for motorcycle users had been waived during April and May 2026. These include motorcycle transfer fees, additional registration mark fees and smart card fees.
Officials said the relief package would remain effective from April 6 to May 5, 2026.
The Punjab government also announced a petrol subsidy programme for registered motorcycle owners. Under the scheme, eligible citizens would receive a subsidy of Rs100 per litre on up to 20 litres of petrol per month.
According to the official statement, citizens can apply for the subsidy and other facilities through the “Maryam Ko Batayein” mobile app, the 1000 helpline or the official government web portal.
