Metro53 - GUJRAT: A child who was critically injured in a stray dog attack in Kharian has succumbed to his injuries, family members confirmed on Saturday.
According to details, two brothers were attacked and severely injured by stray dogs last month in Madina Colony, Kharian, a tehsil of Gujrat district. Both children were shifted to a local hospital after receiving initial medical treatment.
One of the injured brothers, identified as Khizar, remained under treatment but could not survive and passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
The bereaved family said that the condition of the second brother has improved and he is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. Doctors have reportedly declared him out of danger.
The tragic incident has raised renewed concerns among residents over the growing presence of stray dogs in the area, with locals urging the authorities to take effective measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
