Metro53 - GUJRAT/ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has welcomed the Federal Budget 2026-27, describing it as a positive step towards addressing the concerns of ordinary citizens.
In a statement issued on Monday, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain praised the government for presenting what he termed a people-friendly budget, saying that for the first time, significant attention had been given to the day-to-day challenges faced by the common man.
He said the government appeared to have taken into account the economic difficulties and essential needs of the public while formulating the budget, making it more responsive to the realities faced by citizens.
The PML-Q chief noted that the budget proposals and measures were presented in a manner that was easy for the general public to understand, which would help improve transparency and public awareness regarding government policies.
He further said that efforts to reduce the tax burden and provide relief to various sectors reflected the government's intention to facilitate citizens and support economic stability.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain also commended the government's approach, expressing hope that the budgetary measures would contribute to improving the living standards of the people and addressing key economic challenges facing the country.
