PESSI Commissioner Conducts Surprise Visit to Gujrat Social Security Hospital

Metro53 - GUJRAT: Commissioner of the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI), Zulfiqar Ali Kharl, paid a surprise visit to the Social Security Hospital Gujrat to review healthcare services, administrative affairs, and overall service delivery for registered workers from Gujrat and surrounding areas.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Medical Advisor Dr. Humaira Buzdar and Director C&B Rashid Badr. The commissioner inspected various departments of the hospital, checked the attendance of doctors, paramedical staff, and other employees, and reviewed cleanliness standards, discipline, and the facilities being provided to patients.

Mr. Kharl directed the hospital administration to ensure that every patient and registered worker seeking treatment is treated with dignity, respect, and professionalism. He emphasized the importance of providing timely and high-quality healthcare services without compromise.

The commissioner later visited the under-construction Social Security Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Gujrat, where he reviewed the pace and quality of construction work. He instructed the contractor concerned to expedite work and complete the project within the stipulated timeframe. He also directed the Director Works to maintain close supervision of construction activities and ensure the project's timely and quality completion.

Following the field visits, Mr. Kharl chaired a meeting at the Social Security Directorate Gujrat to review recovery targets and assess the current recovery position. During the meeting, relevant officers were issued necessary instructions to achieve the assigned targets within the prescribed timeline.

The visit reflects PESSI's continued focus on improving healthcare facilities for registered workers and ensuring effective implementation of development and administrative initiatives across the region.
