Metro53 - KARACHI: A case has been registered against well-known TikToker Kashif Zameer at Lahore's Mazang police station over allegations of fraud and criminal intimidation, according to police.
The first information report (FIR) was lodged by Dost Muhammad Khan, an official of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi. The complainant alleged that he became acquainted with Kashif Zameer through social media, after which the TikToker promised to arrange his travel to Europe in exchange for payment.
According to the FIR, the complainant paid Rs194,000, but the promised overseas travel arrangements were never made. He further alleged that when he sought a refund or threatened legal action, he was issued death threats in an attempt to pressure him into withdrawing the complaint.
Police said an investigation has been initiated following the registration of the case. Authorities added that the allegations will be verified through the course of the investigation, and no conclusions should be drawn until the inquiry is complete.
