Metro53 - GUJRAT: Intensifying its ongoing preventive efforts, the District Health Authority in Gujrat has inspected multiple locations across the district as part of its routine dengue surveillance campaign, confirming positive dengue larvae at four separate sites.
According to the health department, immediate case-response spraying was carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) at the identified locations to curb any potential outbreak or spread of the virus.
The CDC Officer and Assistant Entomologist stated that surveillance operations and anti-dengue spray activities will continue uninterrupted across the district. Authorities have strongly urged citizens to eliminate stagnant water accumulations in homes, streets, and surrounding areas, and to maintain strict hygiene to prevent the breeding of dengue mosquitoes.
