Metro53 - Two persons were shot dead in Gulistan-e-Johar here on Monday night, according to local media report.
Having being informed, police and rescue teams scrambled to the crime scene. The dead bodies were transported to hospital for medicolegal procedure.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers riding two bikes and a car approached the two persons sitting roadside and opened fire on them.
As a result of their firing, they were killed on the spot. The assailants fled after targeting the victims. Police were investigating, looking at different angles.
On Sunday night, two persons were gunned down at a hotel. Police had doubted that they fell victims to targeted killing. However, investigation continues and police are collecting evidence to reach out the assailants.
Sindh Interior Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar has issued directions to police to arrest the suspects involved in the incident at the earliest.
He directed that access to the culprits must be ensured using available evidence from the crime scene. The interior minister instructed that he be kept informed through a detailed report based on investigation and findings.
