Metro53 - LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi has strongly reacted to recent remarks made by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that equating sports with war is a “worrisome and disappointing approach.”
In a message posted on social media, Naqvi stated that such comments undermine the true spirit of sports and the positive message it carries.
He further remarked, “If war is considered a matter of pride for someone, history always responds with forceful answers — India has faced unfavorable outcomes against Pakistan on numerous occasions in the past, and no cricket match can alter that historical reality.”
Naqvi emphasized that presenting sports as a tool for political or military conflicts is an irresponsible act.
